Hi! My name is Leigh Kapantais and I am the artist

(and owner) behind Leekappart.

I love to create art that will make people smile, from prints to keychains and stationary items. I'm most recognized for my whimsical style of illustration and bouncing around New England for various events.

I earned a BFA in Illustration from Maine College of Art & Design in 2024 and have since illustrated 2 children's books through Maine Authors Publishing. A lot of my inspiration comes from the world around me and looking at what enriches my experiences. Animals, playful colors, and the use of shape on the page fuel my creations.
